Established, successful, growing IT solution provider looking for a motivated Senior Technician to work on Project Implementations at client sites throughout Ottawa.
The successful candidate will have the ability to consult with potential clients, assess their current infrastructure, plan and recommend appropriate solutions based on their needs, and build and implement those solutions.

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 7-10+ years Experience working in various client environments performing network infrastructure support and upgrades
• 5+ years Working experience in network design/troubleshooting role
• Experience implementing virtual solutions (VM Ware, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix, BPOS)
• 7+ years Working experience with Microsoft Server 2003, 2008, Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010, SharePoint, SQL Server 2008, Active Directory (Advanced skills)
• Experience with VOIP solutions (would be an asset)
• Demonstrated and proven skills in the specific areas such as Process and/or Technical design with 5 years related experience
• General knowledge of Information Technology and related fields such as cabling, ISP/Internet requirements, etc
• Ability to distinguish between technological and organizational problems
• Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
• Ability to build a long lasting relationship with the customer (very good interpersonal skills)
• Ability to work efficiently in a (sometimes) very demanding environment (stress tolerance)
• Ability to work independently and is focused both on the results and the quality
• Blackberry Support, Printer Support and Maintenance
• Strong hardware experience –Desktops, Notebooks, Servers
• Ability to set and achieve stretched objectives

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Technology Diploma from College or University
• Microsoft Certifications and other *Required
• MCITP Server 2008 OR MCSE or MCSA (must)
• CompTIA A+ and Network+
• VTSP – VMWare Technical Sales Professional
